In this circumstance, something light, but still filling is the best option.
An easy remedy for this is delving into the realm of protein and energy balls! These delectable little bites of protein and fibers that have been sweeping the internet the past few years and for good reason. They’re the perfect way to pack any number of essential nutrients into a small, easy to go meal that won’t bog you down each morning, not to mention they are incredibly easy to make and very diverse.
You’ll find many recipes online, but a key ingredient is a nut butter of your choice. Nut butters are essentially shots of natural, plant based protein and work as a glue base that holds all your other ingredients together. Any nut butter is a solid choice, although we do recommend one that is unsweetened to eliminate the usage of excess artificial sweeteners, and instead use either honey or maple syrup in its place!
